General Accounting Staff

About the role

The General Accounting Staff is responsible for maintaining accurate and updated financial records, handling day-to-day accounting transactions, and supporting the company's financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements. The position reports directly to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including recording collections, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on receivables
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including recording supplier invoices, monitoring due dates, and preparing payment schedules
• Ensure timely and accurate recording and updating of all accounting transactions in QuickBooks
• Maintain complete and organized accounting records and supporting documents
• Assist in month-end closing, account reconciliations, and preparation of accounting schedules and management reports
• Coordinate with the external accountant and provide necessary records, schedules, and supporting documents for BIR tax compliance and filings
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide schedules, documents, confirmations, and other requirements necessary for the annual financial statement audit
• Assist in addressing and resolving accounting, tax, and audit queries and reconciliation issues
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned by the Finance Manager
