General Assistant

We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our small team at Petit Four, our independent Anglo-French restaurant in the heart of Hawkshead.

We’re a small, owner-run restaurant with a relaxed approach to dining. We care about great food, good drinks and making sure everyone who comes through the door feels genuinely welcome.

This is a varied, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys working with people, likes being part of a small team and is happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing.

The Role

No two shifts are exactly the same. You’ll work alongside us and the rest of the team, helping with the day-to-day running of the restaurant and making sure our guests have a lovely experience.

Your responsibilities may include:

* Welcoming guests and helping them feel at home

* Taking food and drink orders

* Serving food, wine, cocktails and other drinks

* Preparing the restaurant for service

* Clearing and resetting tables

* Making coffees and drinks

* Keeping the restaurant clean, tidy and well presented

* Washing and polishing glasses and cutlery

* Helping with opening and closing duties

* Supporting both front of house and the kitchen when needed

* Generally getting stuck in and helping wherever you’re needed

About You

Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but it’s not essential. We’re much more interested in finding the right person with a good attitude who is willing to learn.
