General Builder

LGM Developments are seeking an experienced and reliable General Builder to join our team. You must be reliable, hardworking, friendly, and work well within a team when it is required.

As a General Builder, you’ll need considerable experience in groundworks, masonry, landscaping, and drainage, to create the structures, and outdoor spaces of this high-end period property.

This is a self-employed position and has the potential for a long-term duration.

Duties

• Carry out all aspects of groundworks, including site preparation, foundations, and concrete works.
• Build and repair masonry structures such as walls, steps, and retaining features with precision and care.
• Landscaping from laying patios and pathways to turfing and planting.
• Install domestic drainage systems.
• Operate and maintain tools, plant, and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with site managers, other trades, and clients to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in general building, with strong skills in groundworks, masonry, landscaping, and drainage.
• Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and small plant machinery.
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions.
• A valid CSCS card and relevant plant/machinery tickets (desirable but not essential).
• A full UK driving licence.
