General Builder/Carpenter

We are a Construction Company based in Selsey and working in the Chichester area within a 10-20 mile radius. Due to greater workload and expansion of our business, we are looking for a Carpenter with general building experience to join our busy and ever growing team.

The role will be predominantly carpentry based, however, there will be times when carpentry work is quieter and you will be expected to get stuck in and support the wider team with other general building tasks. We are looking for someone who is hands on, adaptable and willing to turn their hand to different jobs, with a positive can-do attitude and a genuine team player mentality. Being willing to help wherever needed and working well as part of a team is just as important to us as your carpentry skills.

We specialise in Extensions, Conversions and Renovations, so experience with projects like this is essential.

This is a full time, permanent (employed) position so you will receive paid annual leave, paid breaks and be eligible for our company pension scheme. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years construction experience, with a broad knowledge of construction in general.

The successful applicant must:

• have a full, clean driving licence

• have good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

• be clean and tidy and respectful of property and premises

• have a solid understanding of construction and the industry in general

• have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude

• be able to work well in a team and unsupervised

• be aware of and work in accordance with Health and Safety practices at all times

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
