General Carpenter

Overview

We are seeking a versatile and skilled carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing a range of carpentry, remodeling, and custom deck building projects across residential sites. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse tasks, from interior framing, finish carpentry for basement finishing and kitchen remodeling and composite deck building.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential carpentry tasks including framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, and trim carpentry with precision.
• Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing tools, and woodworking machines safely and effectively.
• Install fixtures such as cabinetry, doors, moldings, water damage restoration components, and other building materials according to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Frame and finish deck projects, mainly composite decking

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction including framing, carpentry, and remodeling projects.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and construction tasks safely.
• Familiarity with wood construction materials such as studs, plywoods, and trims
• Experience with construction plans for residential or commercial projects; ability to read schematics is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on active job sites.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices including power tool safety standards.
• Capable of working efficiently and independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
