Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate floor care techniques and equipment, including sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established guidelines to ensure health and safety compliance across all areas.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed.
• Clean surfaces such as countertops, desks, windows, fixtures, and appliances using suitable cleaning detergents and tools.
• Conduct outdoor work when necessary—such as sweeping entryways or maintaining outdoor seating areas—to uphold overall cleanliness standards.
• Use janitorial equipment properly for tasks like dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and waste disposal to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with clients or team members about specific cleaning needs or issues related to housekeeping management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial responsibilities.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation practices, floor care techniques, and surface cleaning methods.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and the safe manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large items during deep cleans.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces and entryways.
• Excellent customer service skills for effective client communication and ensuring satisfaction with housekeeping services.
