General Cleaner

Job Overview

As a General Cleaner, you’ll help keep residential and shared spaces clean, sanitary, and welcoming. You’ll use cleaning equipment and detergents safely, follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures, and communicate with clients to understand priorities. This hands-on role may include indoor and outdoor work, laundry, cooking, and lifting or moving supplies.

Duties

• Clean and sanitize surfaces, rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms; dust furniture and fixtures, and complete residential cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Perform floor cleaning and floor care, including vacuuming and carpet cleaning, using appropriate equipment and products.
• Handle laundry and, when requested, prepare meals through basic cooking tasks.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, follow safe manual-handling practices, and complete outdoor cleaning as assigned.

Experience

• Cleaning, residential housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is helpful; experience with housekeeping management is also valued.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation, cleaning equipment, and cleaning and sanitation procedure implementation is an asset.
• Strong time management and client communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
• Able to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and heavy lifting, while following safe work practices.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
