General Construction Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Construction Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of diverse building projects, contributing to everything from new construction, remodeling and maintenance. Your hands-on expertise, safety awareness, and ability to interpret technical plans will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of building materials including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, doors, windows, stucco, plastering, and trim carpentry.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform tasks such as cutting, measuring, and assembling components.
• Support heavy equipment operation for site preparation and material transportation.
• Follow detailed construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols throughout all phases of work.
• Perform site cleanup, organize materials, and prepare work areas for subsequent phases of construction or remodeling projects.
• Collaborate with team members on hardscaping projects including paving, stonework, and outdoor installations such as fencing or landscaping features.
• Assist with electrical work, plumbing installations, window setups, door hanging, and other specialized trades as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times by adhering to established safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Interpret construction plans and technical drawings accurately to support project efficiency and precision.

Experience

• Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of building processes across residential or commercial projects.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment in outdoor work environments.
• Experience in various trades such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), electrical work, plumbing, caulking, flooring installation, cabinet installation, window installation, door hanging is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans effectively.
• Knowledge of safety procedures specific to construction sites is essential for maintaining a secure work environment.
• Prior involvement in remodeling projects or hardscape construction is a plus.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely while working independently when required.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
