General Contractor Laborer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of executing a wide range of building projects, from residential remodels to commercial hardscaping. Duties

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
• Perform general labor tasks such as digging, trenching, and site cleanup to support ongoing construction activities
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with safety protocols
• Support carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, framing, window installation, cabinet mounting, and masonry work
• Aid in the installation of building materials such as stucco, plastering, caulking, flooring, and masonry components
• Follow detailed construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks
• Conduct basic construction inspection and quality checks on work performed by subcontractors or team members
• Assist with outdoor hardscaping projects including paver installation, retaining walls, and other hardscape features
• Support electrical and plumbing installations by preparing materials and assisting licensed professionals as needed
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures on-site to maintain a secure working environment for all team members

Experience

• Prior construction experience is highly preferred; familiarity with building sites is essential
• Hands-on experience with construction management software like Bluebeam is a plus
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings is advantageous
• Experience working with heavy equipment operation and outdoor construction projects enhances your candidacy
• Skills in plumbing, electrical work, masonry, trim carpentry, or flooring installation are beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols consistently in fast-paced environments
• Strong understanding of building materials installation including stucco, plastering, caulking, and hardscaping techniques

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
