General Contractor Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the onsite workforce, supporting various phases of building projects from groundwork to finishing touches. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple construction disciplines while contributing to impactful building projects.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including clearing debris and organizing materials
• Perform a variety of manual tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and trim carpentry
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to install building materials, cabinetry, doors, windows, and hardware
• Support heavy equipment operation when necessary for site excavation or material transport
• Follow blueprints and technical drawings to accurately interpret project specifications and ensure proper installation
• Conduct basic construction inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols
• Assist with masonry work, stucco application, plastering, caulking, and restoration projects as needed
• Support outdoor hardscaping construction including hardscape features like patios or walkways

Requirements

• Proven construction experience with knowledge of building construction processes and safety procedures
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans
• Experience with window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinet installation preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, masonry, plastering, stucco, and restoration work is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in construction management or estimating
