What they need
KRUSH Tech is a new technology company building advanced solutions for defense, aerospace, communications, and autonomous systems. We’re launching our U.S. operations from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning and help shape the company from day one.
At KRUSH Tech, we combine the agility of a startup with the ambition to tackle some of the industry’s most demanding engineering challenges. Our teams work across disciplines - including RF, embedded systems, electronics, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and supply chain—to transform innovative ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions. We are building a next-generation, vertically integrated aerospace organization focused on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, sensing technologies, and scalable manufacturing for the U.S. market and strategic partners.
Role Summary
We are seeking an entrepreneurial General Counsel to build our U.S. legal and compliance function from scratch. As the sole initial legal hire for the U.S., you will establish our legal roadmap, build compliance infrastructure, and safely guide the company through its first phase of hyper-growth in a highly regulated sector.
Key Focus Areas (First 6–12 Months)
- Legal & Compliance Infrastructure: Establish the foundational U.S. legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Defense Procurement & Prime Contractor Readiness: Prepare KRUSH Tech to operate as a U.S. government prime contractor and pursue defense-sector opportunities.
- National Security & Export Control: Build strict frameworks for product, data, and personnel flows to align with U.S. rules.
- Commercial Contracting: Design the company's baseline templates and review processes for supply chain, subcontracting, and customer agreements.
Requirements
Required Experience
- In-House Leadership: General Counsel or Senior In-House experience within drones, unmanned systems, defense electronics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
- Government Contracting: Strong understanding of U.S. defense procurement and government contracting rules.
- Security & Export Compliance: Familiarity with FOCI mitigation, CFIUS reviews, FCL/CFL, and ITAR/EAR compliance.
U.S. Citizenship Requirement
This position requires access to technology, data, or defense articles subject to U.S. export control laws (including ITAR and EAR) and federal government contract requirements.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Dual citizenship status and any history affecting clearance eligibility must be disclosed.
Preferred Attributes (An Advantage)
- Startup Agility: Experience building legal functions in fast-scaling technology companies.
