General Counsel

RadSoftware is hiring a General Counsel to own the company's legal function. You'll report directly to the Founder and work closely with leadership, sales, and outside counsel. This is a hands-on role. You'll write the memos, redline the contracts, and take the calls yourself.

Junior attorneys are welcome to apply. If you're early in your career, sharp, and want real responsibility, RadSoftware will give you more ownership in your first year than most firms give in five.

What You'll Do

Multi-State Gaming Regulatory

• Research and monitor gaming, sweepstakes, and skill-game law in every state where RadSoftware operates or plans to expand
• Write state-by-state legal guidance memos to support market entry and product decisions
• Track new laws and regulations and advise leadership on risk and strategy
• Be RadSoftware's point of contact for regulators, local officials, and law enforcement

Litigation & Enforcement

• Manage outside litigation counsel, including budgets and case strategy
• Lead responses to local enforcement actions, such as removal demands, cease-and-desist letters, and requests for temporary restraining orders (TROs)
• Work with outside counsel on legal opinions and defense positions

Commercial Contracts

• Draft, negotiate, and manage location agreements, route-operator and distributor agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs
• Negotiate redlines directly with counterparties and their attorneys
• Build and maintain RadSoftware's standard contract templates and a process for managing contracts

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state, in good standing. If you're licensed outside Wisconsin, you must be eligible to register as in-house counsel in Wisconsin.
• [0+ / 2+] years of legal experience. Junior attorneys welcome.
• Strong research and writing skills, and the ability to turn complex law into clear, practical guidance
• Comfortable making judgment calls in gray areas and defending a well-reasoned position
• Self-directed and organized, able to handle several matters at once at a fast-moving company

Nice to Have

• Experience in gaming, sweepstakes, promotions, or another regulated industry
• Litigation or regulatory enforcement experience
• Commercial contracting experience, either in-house or at a firm

Work Location: In person in downtown Milwaukee. This role is not remote or hybrid.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
