General Dental Assistant

Position Overview

Midtown Family Dentistry is looking for a dependable, Spanish-speaking Registered Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. We are a busy general dentistry practice that values quality care, teamwork, and an exceptional patient experience.

The ideal candidate is comfortable assisting chairside, stays organized throughout a busy schedule, and communicates well with patients and coworkers. We are looking for someone who is coachable, attentive to detail, and ready to contribute to a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do

• Work alongside the dentist during examinations, restorative treatments, and other general dental procedures.
• Set up treatment rooms and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for each appointment.
• Capture digital dental X-rays and accurately document clinical information.
• Follow established sterilization, infection prevention, and safety procedures.
• Help keep appointments on schedule by preparing rooms and anticipating the clinical team's needs.
• Explain procedures and post-treatment instructions to patients in a clear, reassuring manner.
• Assist with Invisalign and other procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with front office staff to support smooth patient transitions.
• Maintain clean, organized operatories and properly stocked clinical areas.
• Help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday, according to the office schedule.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental practice.

Preferred Experience

• One to two years of dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with Open Dental software.
• Experience with digital X-rays, restorative procedures, and general dentistry workflows.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
