Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
• Carry out complex treatments including dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placements, oral surgery, and endodontics.
• Utilize advanced dental software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with specialists in orthodontics, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and other disciplines for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws while managing sensitive medical records and documentation.
• Use medical imaging tools to diagnose dental conditions accurately and plan effective treatments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Proficiency with practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
• Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes and patient assessment methods.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform dental implants, oral surgery procedures including extractions and implant placements.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA guidelines.
• Excellent client communication skills to explain treatments clearly and build trusting relationships.
• Familiarity with dental laboratory processes for dental fabrication needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a busy dental office environment with a focus on quality patient care.
