Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges and extractions.
• Utilize advanced dental software (Open dental, Dexis ) for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
• Interpret medical imaging and dental radiographs to diagnose conditions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient comfort.
• Ensure adherence to all healthcare diagnosis standards and maintain detailed medical records for each patient.
• Stay current with developments in general dentistry practices and technologies to continually improve patient care quality.

Experience

• Proven experience as a General Dentist in a busy dental clinic or office environment.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Open dental, Dexis, XDR, Dandy Lab scan.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and oral surgery techniques.
• Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), pediatric dentistry and other specialized procedures.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records management.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while providing clear explanations of treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for optimal patient outcomes.
