Duties

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing dental terminology and medical diagnosis techniques to develop accurate treatment plans.
• Utilize dental imaging technology and anatomical knowledge to diagnose and plan treatments effectively.
• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate clearly with patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to foster trust and understanding.
• Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, including dental implants, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
• Ensure all treatments comply with healthcare standards and regulations while providing exceptional patient care.

Experience

• Proven experience as a General Dentist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
• Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other advanced procedures.
• Familiarity with infection control practices and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; previous pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
