Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a General Electrical Installations Technician. Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, adhering to electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections safely following NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation processes.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies.
• Maintain and repair industrial motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and motor starters to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute electrical maintenance tasks on existing systems, including troubleshooting issues related to low voltage, power distribution, and control circuits.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously during all phases of installation and maintenance work to prevent accidents or hazards on construction sites.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for precise installation work while maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Read electrical blueprints and building codes to ensure all installations meet local regulations such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical system installation within project timelines while ensuring quality standards are met.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to read complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, motor control equipment, PLC programming, and troubleshooting electrical issues in industrial settings.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards and electrical building codes relevant to construction projects.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for effective troubleshooting.
• Experience working on construction sites or in environments requiring adherence to strict safety protocols related to electrical work.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems alongside high voltage applications is preferred but not mandatory.
