General Event Setup & Breakdown

Bobby Morganstein Events is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our Event Setup & Breakdown Crew. This is a hands-on position supporting weddings, corporate events, mitzvahs, galas, private parties, and other special events throughout the Philadelphia region.

Our Setup & Breakdown Crew is responsible for helping load, transport, install, and remove event rental equipment and décor at venues. This is a great position for someone who enjoys physical work, working as part of a team, and being involved behind the scenes of large-scale events.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with event rental equipment and décor
• Set up and break down furniture, tables, chairs, bars, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, lighting, props, and other event equipment
• Follow floor plans and instructions from crew leaders and production managers
• Properly handle rental inventory to prevent damage
• Assist with installation and removal of specialty event décor
• Keep trucks, loading areas, venues, and workspaces organized
• Help return equipment to the appropriate warehouse locations after events
• Work efficiently as part of a crew to meet event setup and breakdown deadlines
• Maintain a professional attitude while working at venues and around clients, vendors, and guests
• Follow company procedures and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual
• Able to perform physical work and repeatedly lift approximately 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules based on the event calendar
• Reliable transportation to our warehouse or designated meeting location
• Event production, moving, warehouse, construction, or installation experience is helpful but not required
• Valid driver's license and experience driving trucks or larger vehicles is a plus

Schedule

This is an event-based position, so hours will vary depending on our event schedule. Candidates should have flexibility for weekday, evening, late-night, and weekend shifts.

Some shifts may involve an event setup earlier in the day, while others may involve returning to a venue late at night for breakdown.
