Summary
We are seeking a General Foreman to join our team at Arete. In this role, you will oversee multiple crews and Foremen across construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining project timelines, quality, and coordination across the site.

As a General Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities across multiple crews under the direction of the Superintendent and/or Project Manager. You will be responsible for supervising Foremen, Skilled Tradesmen and Laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, while serving as the key link between field crews and project leadership.

Duties

• Supervise and Direct: Oversee and manage multiple Foremen and their crews, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed according to plans and timelines
• Coordinate Activities: Coordinate tasks across crews and trades, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication throughout the site
• Maintain Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment across all crews
• Manage Resources: Oversee the allocation of labor, materials, and equipment across the site to ensure efficient use and availability
• Monitor Progress and Quality: Monitor overall project progress across crews, make necessary adjustments, and ensure all installations and tasks meet quality standards
• Resolve Issues: Act as the key point of contact between Foremen, crews, and upper management, relaying instructions and resolving issues that arise during construction
• Document and Report: Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, timesheets, material requisitions, and safety information across crews
• On-site Presence: Be present on-site, actively overseeing daily operations across multiple crews and stepping in hands-on as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in a construction-related role, including prior experience as a Foreman, with demonstrated leadership ability
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, methods, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple crews and tasks simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as OSHA requirements

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 84.0 per week
