General Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join our contracting and construction company.

The candidate will supervise subcontractor crews on site, organize daily work fronts, and ensure that works progress safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 10 years of site supervision experience in building construction.
• Strong practical knowledge of structural, masonry and finishing works.
• Experience in supervising subcontractor labor and organizing multiple work fronts.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Knowledge of site safety practices.
• Good communication skills in Arabic; English is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise daily activities of subcontractor crews on site.
• Distribute work fronts and ensure availability of materials, tools and equipment.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower and productivity and report shortfalls.
• Ensure works are executed according to drawings and site engineer instructions.
• Enforce site safety rules and housekeeping.
• Prepare daily reports on manpower, progress and site issues.
• Coordinate with site engineers and QA/QC to prepare works for inspection.
