General Forman

A company is looking to hire an experienced and highly skilled Foreman to supervise workers and technicians, oversee daily operations, and ensure that all work is completed to the required quality standards and within the specified deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise workers, technicians, and skilled labourers, and organize their daily tasks.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and technical shop drawings.
• Monitor measuring, cutting, shaping, installation, and finishing works.
• Assign tasks to workers and ensure that all work is carried out according to approved drawings and required specifications.
• Ensure the quality of work, accuracy of measurements, and compliance with approved designs.
• Monitor workflow at the factory and project sites and ensure adherence to work schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, project management teams, and site supervisors.
• Monitor material consumption, minimize waste, and prevent material damage.
• Maintain discipline and effectively manage workers and technicians to ensure productivity and compliance with instructions.
• Resolve technical issues that may arise during the execution of work.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety procedures at the factory and project sites.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in supervision and workforce management.
• Experience in the marble and granite industry is preferred.
• Must hold a valid UAE driving license.
• Must currently be residing in the UAE.
• Must be available to join immediately.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical shop drawings.
• Knowledge of different types of marble, granite, natural stones, and their properties is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage workers and technicians and maintain workplace discipline.
• Ability to organize tasks, monitor production, and ensure timely completion of work.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
