General Hand

Hydraulic and Engineering Services Ltd is a privately owned engineering company with 35 years of industry experience. We specialise in the repair, supply and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and associated hydraulic equipment for machinery, mobile plant, cranes and marine applications.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Hand to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role involving driving, spray painting, site housekeeping and general maintenance of our premises and equipment.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks, including:

• Spray painting hydraulic cylinders and associated equipment.
• General housekeeping and upkeep of the site.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites.
• General maintenance and upkeep of company equipment and premises.
• Supporting the wider engineering team as required.

Full training will be provided on the use of our spray-painting equipment, with on-site training from an experienced sprayer.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Takes pride in their work and maintains a high standard.
• Is productive and willing to get involved in a variety of tasks.
• Can work independently using their own initiative.
• Works well as part of a friendly and busy team.
• Is keen to learn new skills and develop within the business.
• Holds a full clean UK driving licence.

Previous experience in engineering, painting, manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right person.

Hours of Work

40 Hour a Week Full-time position, with overtime as required at the needs of the business.
