General Hand - Local

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled General Hand to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of manual labour duties and operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently while supporting the daily operations of our yard. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise, learn new skills, and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Job Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, weekend work as required

Your Qualifications

• Experience in scrap metal (Ferrous, Non Ferrous)
• Understanding of various heavy equipment's operational characteristics
• Knowledge of maintenance requirements for heavy equipment
• Proven track record in performing skilled construction and maintenance tasks
• Experience with manual handling
• Forklift license advantageous but not essential
• Ability to interpret and work from nests
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Mechanical aptitude
• Fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens)
• Right to work in Australia
• Ability to pass a Police Check
