Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Handyman to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction-related tasks for both commercial and residential clients. This position requires experience across multiple trades, with a strong emphasis on plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.

The Handyman serves as a direct representative of Thoreau in the field, providing quality workmanship while delivering a positive customer experience. This role works closely with supervisors and team members to ensure projects and service requests are completed efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Repairs

• Perform a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and installation services for commercial and residential clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Complete assigned jobs independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project timelines and client expectations.

Customer Service

• Provide professional and courteous service during all client interactions.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding repairs, recommendations, and project status.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner within the community.
• Build client confidence through reliability, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with supervisors to prioritize and organize daily assignments.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, vendors, and corporate clients.
• Assist team members as needed to support service delivery and project completion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call coverage and after-hours work as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
