General housekeeping

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at The Granary Estates.

Our lodges and cottages are an important part of the guest experience, from wedding guests staying with us for the night to visitors enjoying a relaxing countryside break. We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, comfortable and welcoming space for every guest.

The role will involve preparing our lodges and cottages between stays, making sure everything is clean, tidy and presented to a high standard.

Your Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing our lodges and cottages ready for new guests
• Changing and making beds to a high standard
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
• Dusting, hoovering, mopping and general cleaning
• Replenishing toiletries, tea, coffee, milk and other guest essentials
• Checking that rooms are well presented and everything is in place for guests' arrival
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or missing items to the management team
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
• Following our cleaning and health & safety procedures
• Helping to maintain the high standard and welcoming feel that The Granary Estates is known for

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking and takes pride in their work
• Friendly and approachable
• Naturally organised and able to work efficiently
• Has a good eye for detail
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Able to work to deadlines, particularly on busy changeover days
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is essential.

Our accommodation is often used by wedding couples, their families and guests, so presentation and attention to detail are really important. We want every guest to arrive to accommodation that feels fresh, spotless, welcoming and ready for their stay.
