General Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are met
• Help with serving meals to guests or customers in a courteous and timely manner
• Aid in the storage of ingredients, supplies, and leftovers properly to prevent waste
• Support catering events by preparing ingredients, setting up serving stations, and assisting with event logistics
• Contribute to a team environment by communicating effectively and helping colleagues as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and hygiene standards
• Strong interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced kitchen setting
