Job Summary:

This position is responsible for operating production machinery and processing lines to complete production materials. Working under the direction of the Mold Room Supervisor, the General Laborer 2 follows the ongoing instructions given to them to process and prepare materials, run and adjust equipment, and make sure materials are produced according to product specifications. The goal is to ensure product is produced quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality, while also supporting material handling and the upkeep of equipment and the building.

Responsibilities:

· Performs operational duties assigned by Mold Room Supervisor

• Operates machines by engaging controls
• Monitor and inspect machines and final products, and if there are any inconsistencies, communicate those to the supervisor

· Processes and prepares raw materials and final products as assigned by the Mold Room Supervisor and accurately assembles materials according to product specifications

· Ensure final products are complete, accurate, properly identified, and ready for the next stage of production

· Pays close attention to detail when processing materials, verifying quantities, dimensions, quality specifications, and production requirements to minimize errors

· Operates forklifts in handling of raw materials, finished goods and other duties as assigned

· Perform general equipment and building maintenance (corrective and preventative tasks) as assigned by Mold Room Supervisor

Essential Functions:

· Lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to read and follow customer orders, production instructions, and specifications

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Adapt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs

· Work independently within a team environment

· Follow established policies and procedures

Chemical Handling & Equipment Maintenance:

· Safely handle, measure, mix, and process chemicals in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines

· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while working with chemicals and processing equipment

· Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance of department equipment to ensure proper operations

· Monitor equipment for damage, or malfunctions and report issues promptly to the supervisor

· Follow all required safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and handling and storage of chemicals

· Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe chemical handling, proper equipment operation, and consistent product quality

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED

· Experience in a manufacturing environment is not required but preferred

· Experience operating a forklift and skid steer is not required but preferred

· Be organized and self-motivated

Additional Information:

· Reports to: Mold Room Supervisor

· Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts

· Shift: 1st Shift 5am-3:30pm

· Pay Rate: $17 per hour
