General Labor - Delivery and Installation Specialist

Job Summary

Join a dynamic team as an Appliance Delivery & Installation Driver / Helper in Richmond, Va! We are seeking dependable and committed individuals. This position involves delivering and installing residential appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges/stoves, and dishwashers.

Candidates should be reliable, physically capable, comfortable using tools and appliance moving equipment, and have great customer service. On the job training will be provided. Experience is appreciated but not required, just need a willingness to learn!

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 26FT box truck while making appliance deliveries.
• Load, unload, transport, and position heavy appliances.
• Safely move appliances onto work site using appliance dollies, shoulder straps, and other approved equipment.
• Install refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges/stoves, dishwashers, and other appliances.
• Connect appliances to required electrical, plumbing, and ventilation connections when applicable.
• Use hand tools, power tools, appliance dollie's, shoulder straps, and other equipment safely.
• Follow manufacturer installation instructions and safety procedures.
• Check appliances after installation to ensure they are properly operating.
• Report damaged appliances, installation issues, or other problems.
• Keep the work area clean and protect the customer’s home during delivery and installation.
• Complete required delivery documentation.

Requirements

• Being willing to learn hands-on appliance installation for refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges/stoves, and/or dishwashers.
• Previous installation experience is not required for Helper positions.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and position heavy appliances using proper equipment and team-lifting techniques.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Valid driver’s license required for Driver positions.
• Safe and responsible driving record required for Driver positions.
• Reliable transportation to the designated work location.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Driver & Helper Positions Available

Drivers/Installers: Operate the delivery vehicle and assist with loading, unloading, delivery, appliance installation, and customer service. Previous hands-on appliance installation experience is required.

Helpers: Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, positioning, and installing appliances alongside the Driver/Installer.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,300.00 per week
