General Labor/ driver

Position Summary:

Deliver Products to customers in various types of delivery vehicles.

Essential Functions:

• Operate tender trucks, straight trucks, pickups, trailers, and other agronomy equipment as assigned.
• Deliver fertilizer, seed, chemical, and other agricultural products to customers and field locations.
• Tender dry and liquid fertilizer to applicators in the field.
• Load and unload fertilizer, chemical, seed, and other products safely and accurately.
• Assist with blending and loading dry fertilizer.
• Assist with liquid fertilizer and chemical handling and loading.
• Support applicators by keeping products and equipment moving efficiently during busy application periods.
• Perform general warehouse, yard, and facility duties.
• Receive incoming products and assist with verifying quantities.
• Help maintain accurate product movement and inventory records.
• Assist with inventory counts and organization of fertilizer, chemical, seed, and other agronomy products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, equipment, shop areas, warehouse, and agronomy grounds.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with minor maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT, pesticide, fertilizer, and transportation regulations.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers.
• Assist sales, operations, and application personnel with other duties as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 2 years of operating a class A or class B vehicles

Knowledge:

• Must be able to shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals.
• Fuel vehicle, check oil and coolant levels.

Skills:

• Must be able to sit and remain alert while driving for an aggregate period of up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to enter and exit the truck cab frequently. Cab is generally from 36 to 66 inches above ground level, with entry and exit achieved with the assistance of various configurations of steps and handholds; also requires occasional bending, climbing, squatting and balancing.
• Must be able to occasionally reach above shoulder level; bend at waist level and below waist level for maneuvering and directing controls of the truck.
• Must be able to climb ladders on truck; as well as climb on equipment at loading and delivery sites as required.

Additional Information:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee must frequently move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position does require a pre-hire, post-offer criminal background check, and a drug screen

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
