General Laborer

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Laborer will perform a range of duties including some or all of the following:

• Assist with glass cutting, screen and glass repairs, and thermal unit creation as needed
• Drive workers to and from job sites
• Assist glaziers on-site with window and thermal unit installation and repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Other duties around the shop as required

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in trades is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of how to perform the following tasks (or the ability to quickly learn how to do so):

• Accurate glass cutting
• Repairs to windows, mirrors, glass, screens, etc.
• Build thermal units
• Build screens

Applicant is required to have a valid driver’s license and be legally eligible to work in Canada.

• Problem solving skills allowing identification of issues as well as the ability to generate possible solutions and make recommendations to resolve the issue.

Experience

• 1-3 years experience in shop work.

Pay: $17.95-$29.33 per hour
