General Laborer

Cell-Crete Corporation is a large concrete construction company seeking skilled craft labor help. Employees are responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. Applicants need to belong to either the Cement Masons for Laborers Union, need to be physically fit, able to lift and carry objects over 80 pounds, reliable, a team player, able to work outdoors, and a fast learner. Travel will be required.

Skilled Trade Responsibilities

• Use and care for construction equipment and machines.
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Load or unload construction materials.
• Remove, fill, or compact earth.
• Follow instructions from supervisors.
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
• Perform site clean-up.

Requirements

• Be a member of the Cement Masons or Laborers Union
• Must have a valid ID
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Punctual and reliable
• Must be able to travel

Special Requirements

• Employee required to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
• Employee required to walk considerable distances in the facility and on job site.
• Employee required to raise or lower objects 50-100 lbs from one level to another during the day.
• Employee required to push, pull, and carry objects over 80 pounds on a regular basis.
• Employee regularly holding concrete pound pump hose for continuous periods of time.
• Employee regularly required to use hands and arms to reach for objects.
