General Laborer

Shovel Kings is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in concrete work, underground utilities, and demolition. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, excavation, and preparation for concrete pours
• Form, rebar, pour, finish, and cure concrete (slabs, footings, pads, etc.)
• Install underground utilities including water, sewer, and drainage systems
• Perform trenching, grading, and backfilling operations
• Prepare base materials, grade and compact surfaces, and install pavers according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and a quality finished product
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of construction labor experience
• REAL ID and ability to pass background check
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating skid steers or excavators
• Ability to read basic construction drawings
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
