General laborer - residential construction

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring safety and organization at all times
• Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other trades by handling materials, tools, and equipment
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing
• Help with the installation of fixtures like doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring under supervision
• Mix and pour concrete, perform basic masonry work, or assist with stucco and plastering projects
• Use heavy equipment when trained and certified to do so for site preparation or material handling
• Follow safety protocols diligently while supporting various phases of construction including roofing, restoration, or hardscape work

Qualifications

• 6 months - 2 years prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction equipment. Must have your own hand tools.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices is advantageous
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, carpentry, or roofing will set you apart
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality

This position will be a flexible schedule depending on each job. Can be anything from on-call to full time. Overtime is offered. Pay starts at $21-23/hr for the first 6 weeks. After probationary period, pay will increase to $24-27 DOE. 401K and Medical offered after 90 days.
