General Labourer

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking VRS Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with vehicle restraint system installations, repairs and maintenance on highways and construction sites. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and high-quality work.

Previous VRS or highways experience is preferred, although training will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair and removal of vehicle restraint systems and safety barriers.
• Load, unload and safely move tools, equipment and materials.
• Use hand tools and power tools correctly.
• Support qualified installers and supervisors with daily site tasks.
• Follow site plans, instructions and safe working procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Wear the required PPE and comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Report hazards, damage or equipment faults to the site supervisor.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• work throughout the UK digs provided.

Requirements

• Previous experience in VRS, highways, construction or groundworks is desirable.
• A valid CSCS card is required we can assist with obtaining
• VRS qualifications, National Highways Passport or relevant safety certifications are advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
• Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends where required.
