About the role

As a General Labourer, you will assist with daily production operations and general duties throughout the facility. Tasks may vary depending on operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handling and moving processed cattle hides
• Assisting with leather-processing machinery and production activities
• Sorting, grading, stacking and packing hides
• Moving materials and products around the facility
• Performing general labouring and manual handling duties
• Maintaining clean, tidy and safe work areas
• Following safe work procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
• Identifying and reporting hazards, equipment faults and safety concerns
• Working with supervisors and other team members to meet production targets

About you

• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• The ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, agriculture or general labouring will be an advantage, but is not essential
• A current forklift licence would be highly regarded but is not essential
