General Labourer

Location: Koorlong, VIC 
Work type: Permanent Full-Time 
Hours: Mon - Fri 7AM start. Optional occasional Saturday work. 
Pay rate: $30.75 p/h

Looking for stable, full-time work with regular overtime opportunities? We're seeking a reliable and safety-focused General Labourer to join our organics facility in Koorlong, VIC.

This is a hands-on role suited to candidates who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that helps keep operations running safely and efficiently while contributing to a more sustainable future.

About the roleAs a General Labourer, you will play an important part in the safe and efficient sorting and collection of materials on site. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is dependable, switched on, and comfortable working in a waste environment.

In this role, you will:

• Sort and separate recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor belt
• Remove contaminants by hand while following PPE requirements
• Remain on your feet for most of the shift
• Bend, reach and lean over conveyor belts as required
• Assist in maintaining efficient processing line operations
• Complete litter collection and site clean-up duties
• Conduct perimeter inspections and remove litter around the facility
• Use equipment including wheelie bins, tongs, brooms and dustpans
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Identify and report hazards, risks and operational issues
• Follow all site safety procedures and work instructions

We’re not looking for the finished product. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and transferable skills are what matter most.

Role requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Must be an Australian/NZ citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Must have a car and driver's license to commute to Koorlong daily.
• Must be comfortable with strong odours.
