General Ledger Accountant (Chick Chicken)

ROLE SUMMARY

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording and reconciling general ledger transactions, and supporting the preparation of timely and reliable financial reports. The role ensures the integrity of accounting data, compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and supports month-end and year-end closing activities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. General Ledger Management

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Review account balances and investigate variances.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial transactions.

2. Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare account schedules and supporting documents.
• Analyze financial data and report significant variances.

3. Account Reconciliation

• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany and subsidiary ledger accounts.
• Resolve discrepancies in coordination with concerned departments.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation.

4. Compliance and Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Assist in implementing process improvements and internal controls.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of General Ledger or Accounting experience.
• Experience in retail, food & beverage, or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-branch environment.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

• Accurate and timely posting of journal entries.
• 100% completion of monthly account reconciliations.
• On-time month-end and year-end closing.
• Timely submission of monthly financial reports.
• Zero unexplained variances in General Ledger accounts.
• Complete and organized accounting records supporting audit readiness.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per month
