General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for GL Accountants who would enjoy taking part in shaping and supporting a complex international finance environment. You will be joining our European Finance Shared Service Center in Hatvan , where you will be responsible for the accounting and monthly closing activities for our Swiss European HQ — a highly international, IFRS-based environment with strong professional standards and cross-country collaboration.

If you enjoy navigating complex accounting topics, using English on a daily basis, and contributing to accurate, high-quality financial reporting in an international setting — this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Perform end-to-end General Ledger accounting activities under IFRS
• Ensure compliance of bookings with accounting principles, internal and external regulations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for our Swiss headquarter
• Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting packages
• Work closely with AR, AP, and Controlling during closing cycles.
• Support fixed assets and inventory accounting activities
• Ensure deadlines are met and high quality of data is provided
• Participate in internal and external audit processes

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Certified accountant qualification (or equivalent professional accounting certification) is required
• Solid General Ledger background with professional experience in a relevant GL accounting position
• Fluency in English (spoken and written is essential)
• Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
• Accuracy, ownership, and strong problem-solving mindset

Would be advantageous:

• Big Four and/or work experience in international business environment
• IFRS experience highly valued
• Oracle experience
