General Ledger and Tax Associate

About the role

This role involves preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining the chart of accounts, fixed asset records, and supporting month-end closing processes. You will perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, including AR/AP subsidiary ledger reconciliations, and assist with financial closing, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain the chart of accounts, fixed asset records, and support month-end closing
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, including AR/AP subsidiary ledger reconciliations
• Assist with financial closing, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for multiple entities
• Prepare, process, and file BIR tax returns and related compliance reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
• Maintain tax records, books of accounts, and support BIR/SEC audits and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams and government agencies (BIR/SEC) for filings, submissions, and compliance matters
• Support inventory counts, account reconciliations, and other accounting tasks as assigned
• Ensure compliance with PFRS/GAAP, company policies, and maintain strict confidentiality of financial information

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1–2 years of experience in General Accounting
• Experience in bank reconciliation and BIR tax compliance
• Knowledgeable in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar)
