General Ledger

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Review transactions to ensure proper account classification and completeness.
• Monitor unusual or outstanding balances and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventories, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, and other assigned accounts.
• Assist in the preparation and completion of monthly and annual closing activities.
• Ensure all necessary accruals, adjustments, provisions, and reclassifications are recorded before closing.
• Prepare schedules and reports required for management reporting and financial statement preparation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions with affiliated companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but non-CPA candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with General Ledger or Financial Accounting experience.
• Experience in month-end closing, account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and basic taxation requirements.
