General Ledger Specialist

About the role

GL Specialist SG & MY is responsible for providing analytical support and data, ensuring compliance to internal control frameworks, preparing forecasts and analysis for business needs. This includes preparation of financial statements according IFRS and local statutory reporting, business and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support MSU and MU in accounting activities
• Ensure accurate, consistent, organized and timely completion of accounting & reporting activities, including preparation of monthly P&L statements, balance sheets and audited financial statements in compliance with Group accounting policies, IFRS, local statutory accounting standards and local tax, law & regulations
• Collaborate with external service provider for relevant outsourced accounting and corporate governance activities, including audited financial statements, drafting of Director/Shareholder resolutions, government surveys and statutory reporting requirements
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
• Issue and handle Intercompany invoice & receipt
• Maintain proper Group and Company records
• Support on Transfer Pricing documentation, Corporate Income Tax and GST filling
• Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
• Execute ad-hoc projects and provide analytical support for business needs
• Ensure full compliance to internal control framework
