General Machinist

GENERAL MACHINIST – Mississauga, ON

We are seeking a skilled General Machinist with experience in both manual and CNC machining to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge and can produce high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, mill, drill)
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - important
• Proficiency in applied math
• Machine parts to tight tolerances
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and secondary operations
• Meet production schedules and deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience with hands-on conventional machines such as lathe, milling machine and surface grinder (manual and/or CNC)
• Strong understanding of machining processes and materials
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Proficiency in applied math (feeds, speeds, tolerances, sizes)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Fabrication and forklift experience are assets

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overtime available as needed

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
