Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our property, troubleshooting issues, and supporting various maintenance projects to uphold safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose and repair electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and mechanical components.
• Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety.
• Operate testing tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits accurately.
• Manage facilities maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance issues raised by staff or residents, ensuring minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or residential settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiar with schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Ability to operate tools such as welders and ohmmeters safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
• Experience with welding, residential painting, and general carpentry is a plus.
• Supervising experience or leadership skills in maintenance teams are highly desirable.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
