General Maintenance Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and highly versatile Handyman to handle general repairs, maintenance, installations, and upkeep across our properties and businesses.

The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who is comfortable working with their hands and has practical experience across multiple areas of maintenance and repair. You should be able to identify problems, determine the appropriate solution, and complete work safely and efficiently without needing to be walked through every step.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, shows up reliably, and can handle everything from small repairs to larger maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building, property, and facility maintenance
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, shelving, walls, ceilings, and fixtures
• Perform basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, toilets, valves, drains, and other fixtures
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues
• Patch, repair, sand, and paint walls and other surfaces
• Assemble, install, and repair furniture, shelving, equipment, and fixtures
• Perform basic carpentry and drywall repairs
• Handle general preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Repair or replace damaged hardware and building components
• Assist with minor flooring, tile, caulking, and other finish work
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine appropriate solutions
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and repairs related to events and business operations when needed
• Keep properties clean, safe, functional, and presentable
• Work independently while communicating effectively with management
• Complete other general maintenance and repair tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, facilities, or similar experience
• General knowledge of multiple trades and repair techniques
• Comfortable working with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move equipment and materials
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings

Strongly Preferred:

• Plumbing

• Tile
• Appliance installation/repair
• Furniture and fixture installation
• Door and lock repair
• Preventative maintenance
• Basic HVAC knowledge

The Ideal Candidate

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
