General Maintenance Technician- Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00

Status: Full-time, Temporary

Work Schedule: Mon – Fri 7 am – 4 pm

The College of Idaho is looking for a dedicated and team-focused individual with excellent

customer service skills to join our maintenance team! If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and

have the ability to troubleshoot, assess, evaluate, and address general maintenance and repairs,

temp-to-hire opportunity, allowing you to demonstrate your skills and potentially secure a

permanent role with us.

Typical duties include:

• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician- such as basic

plumbing, routine electrical, carpentry, maintenance of building fixtures, and PM tasks.

• Manage assigned work orders through timely completion.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.

• Ensure all hand tools, power tools, and equipment are maintained and in good working

order.

• Adhere to safety standards, operate a variety of gasoline, electrical, and diesel-powered

equipment ranging from plows, scrapers, backhoes, skid steers, man-lifts, and related

equipment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check

• Have strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written

• Previous experience in a skilled maintenance position with similar responsibilities.

• High school diploma or GED, vocational or trade school a plus.

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Possession of a current, valid driver’s license; vehicle insurable with a good driving

record in accordance with The College of Idaho’s vehicle policy.
