General Maintenance Worker

TRISTAR TERMINALS GUAM, INC has immediate opening to fill the position for General Maintenance Worker (GMW).

The GMW is responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the establishments operating procedures.

DUTIES

• Conduct routine grass cutting of the whole terminal premises including pipeline route towards F1 and F1 dock area.
• Conduct routine inspections of office buildings, equipment, and whole terminal premises.
• Carry out various maintenance repair & facility upgrade activities and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and premises on a schedule and ad-hoc basis.
• Performs grounds related functions such as water blasting and grass cutting for the purpose of preserving the safe condition of the terminal from vegetation.
• Duties may also include rubbish removal from all trash cans.
• Maintains the cleanliness of drains, gutters and scuppers for the purpose of ensuring proper operation and adequate drainage.
• Use of various types of hand and motorized tools or equipment with safe work procedures and safety precautions to carry out task.
• Responsible for completing all assigned tasks, and assists others as requested by Supervisor.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Conduct pipeline patrol activities and assist operations where needed.
• Prepare tank cleaning equipment in preparation for tank entry for cleaning / inspection / repair.
• Assist in positively isolating storage tank for cleaning.
• Ensure all documentation / reports are complete and accurate.
• Maintain good housekeeping and orderliness of the Terminal.
• Accommodating extra workload as required to complete job task assigned or unforeseen in daily work schedule.
• Cleans tools and stores appropriately at the end of the work shift.
• Participate in promoting HSEQ Awareness and culture in Tristar terminal Guam Inc., by actively participating in Toolbox meetings and safety training/meetings. Participate in HSEQ initiatives and submit required Incident reports.
• Ensure full compliance with Tristar’s HSSE Policy. Compliance to Tristar Permit to Work System (PTWS), and other Tristar Standard Operating procedures/Manuals.
• Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
• Supportive of other Tristar initiatives.
• Take the role of Tristar Terminals Guam, Inc. Safe Work Permit holder and AGT (PTWS).
• Assist in creating JSA for the assigned task.
• Notifies management of areas of the Facility that need repair or attention.
• Adheres to specific safety guidelines as set by OSHA standards.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Completes all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisor / Manager.
• Attends and inputs any possible issues, ideas to improve the workplace, or request during weekly meetings with Supervisor and Manager.
• Other tasks may be assigned as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma is not required but preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Physical Demands: Standing for long periods. Ability to work in an outdoor environment. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.
