General Maintenance/Handyman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will...

• Have a strong background in various maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on the premises, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks to ensure minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant issues to the management team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance when necessary.
• Assist in emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents, staff, and external contractors.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Have a valid full UK driving license
