General Manager Assistant

Assistant General Manager – Full-Time (40–45 hrs/week)

Location: Yokohama Izakaya

Morning Shifts: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Night Shifts: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Yokohama Izakaya is a busy, fast-paced Japanese restaurant that values teamwork, great service, and communication. We’re a locally owned restaurant that and we’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join us full-time.

About the Role:

As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll help lead our front-of-house team and keep things running smoothly every shift. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can solve problems on the fly, and knows how to motivate a team.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee daily operations and support staff during service
• Ensure guests receive excellent service and a smooth dining experience
• Handle to-go orders, checklists, and shift reports
• Manage cash drawers and deposits
• Help with scheduling, inventory, and restocking
• Open and close the restaurant
• Communicate clearly with the GM and ownership team

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 21+ (required to serve alcohol)
• 1+ year of management experience (restaurant background required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable handling cash and writing reports
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Available full-time, including weekends and holidays
• Bar experience is a plus (we can train you if needed!)
