General Manager (Based in Thailand)

Morgan McKinley is currently partnering with a client to appoint a General Manager based in Thailand. This role will have full responsibility for leading and growing the Thailand business, overseeing commercial performance, operations, people leadership, strategic planning, and overall P&L management. This is a broad business leadership role that requires someone who can balance strategy and execution while driving sustainable growth across the country.

Key responsibilities:

• Defining and executing the Thailand growth strategy
• Leading overall business operations and performance
• Driving commercial growth and strengthening customer relationships
• Managing financial performance, budgeting, and profitability
• Building, coaching, and leading cross-functional teams
• Representing the organisation externally with customers, partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders
• Identifying new business opportunities and expansion initiatives
• Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading a business unit, country operation, or sizeable division
• Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
• Track record of delivering business growth and P&L results
• Experience managing diverse teams across multiple functions
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
• Exposure to logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, industrial services, commodities, or related sectors.
• Fluent proficiency in both Thai and English is required for this role, as the candidate must effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders in Thailand.
