General Manager, Business Operations (77465)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced General Manager, Business Operations to lead key business functions across commercial operations, customer management, sourcing, and international trade. This role will drive business growth, profitability, customer relationships, cost competitiveness, and cross-functional performance within the automotive parts business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and business growth.
• Lead sales, marketing, customer management, and new business development activities.
• Oversee RFQ, quotation, pricing, commercial negotiations, and customer requirements from new projects through mass production.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Oversee Export & Import operations, international logistics, and trade compliance.
• Monitor business performance, profitability, budgets, sales forecasts, and key business KPIs.
• Identify new customers, products, and business opportunities within the automotive market.
• Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop managers and teams across Marketing, Sourcing, and EXIM functions.
• Strengthen collaboration across Business Operations, Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and other functions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in automotive parts or automotive manufacturing, including 5+ years at Assistant GM level or above.
• Experience in at least two areas: Automotive Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Program Management, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Strong understanding of automotive business processes, including RFQ, quotation, costing, new model development, APQP, and mass production.
• Strong business-level English communication and negotiation skills.
• Japanese language capability is an advantage.
• Experience in a Japanese automotive manufacturing environment is an advantage.
